Thursday 8/10:

R&B singer-songwriter August Alsina is performing tonight at the TLA. He’s come a long way from his New Orleans start, with huge collaborations with Trinidad James and Nicki Minaj. Tickets are available here.

Friday 8/11:

Due to popular demand, Khalid‘s sold out show at the TLA has been moved to The Fillmore to allow more fans to get in to the show. His debut album American Teen was released this past March and it is on fire, charting anywhere and everywhere. Resale tickets are available here.

The Districts sold out their release show for their third studio album Popular Manipulations at Union Transfer. Fellow Philadelphia musicians The Spirit of The Beehive and Abi Reimold joins The Districts for the night as they open up. Resale tickets available here.

Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters concludes his 3 night set in Philly at Wells Fargo Center on Friday night. He has performed pretty much everything from his past and his US tour concludes this fall. He released Is This the Life We Really Want? this June, 25 years after his last rock release. Tickets are still available here.

Saturday 8/12:

Country singer Chris Stapleton is coming to BB&T Pavilion with Margo Price and Brent Cobb. His second studio album From A Room: Volume 1 was released in May. The album charted higher than his first album and received high praise. Come out to hear his raunchy blend of bluegrass, rock, and blues. Tickets can be purchased here.

J Bengoy‘s music will put a smile on your face. Come see the indie band from Vermont live at Kung Fu Necktie for an intimate performance. The tickets for the show are available here or at the door.

Sunday 8/13:

If you’re looking for an all-day event, head out to Bethlehem where the last day of Musikfest is taking place at the SteelStacks. Many stages will be offset with vendors to keep you occupied between musical acts. In addition to music, there will be many featured arts demonstrations.

Valley Queen‘s Natalie Carol has a voice that makes you stop what you are doing. The band’s folk rock sound is touched by nostalgia. The lyrics are meditative and well thought out. Head to  Johnny Brenda’s on Sunday night to see them in town. Tickets are available here.
